Recommendations for preparing for surgery
You are preparing for a surgical operation, the success of which largely depends on the fulfillment of certain conditions and recommendations.
Preoperative examination
Before the operation, you need to take tests. The tests are taken in the laboratory on an empty stomach. Our clinic has an agreement with the Helix laboratory. But you can take the examination in any other place. When taking tests, you must have your passport with you. The tests must be taken no earlier than 14 days and no later than 10 days before the upcoming operation. If you take tests in the Helix laboratory, the results will be sent directly to the clinic. The medical staff of our clinic independently monitors them. If you choose another laboratory, you will need to ensure that the results reach the clinic no later than 10 days before the upcoming operation.
If there are any changes in your health before the operation, you must inform the clinic about this. Operations are not performed during menstrual bleeding! and in the presence of herpes rashes!
Payment
On the day of the operation, you must make a full payment for the cost of the operation. Payment is accepted at the Galaktika clinic only in rubles. 10 days before the operation, you must make an advance payment of 30 thousand rubles.
For your convenience, all rooms are equipped with an individual safe, TV, and multifunctional beds.

originals of the tests (written), if you have them on hand (especially the ECG tape)
In order not to interfere with the medical staff preparing you for the operation, we do not allow visits from relatives and friends during this period. You can visit you 2-3 hours after the intervention. If necessary, you can find out about your health condition by phone from the nurse on duty. Operations are performed on an empty stomach. Please do not eat or drink anything 6-8 hours before the operation, as this may interfere with the anesthesia.
Operational and postoperative period
After discharge from the hospital, it is desirable that you be accompanied by relatives. After the operation to change the shape of the nose (rhinoplasty), the patient is given a plaster cast. This cast is worn for 1 week, after which it will be removed by the doctor during the next examination. We ask you to treat it carefully, do not wet it, do not move it and do not worry if the plaster cast comes off on its own at an earlier date. If this happens, you do not need to try to stick the plaster cast back, you just need to notify the attending physician about it. The stitches located inside the nose are self-absorbing - they do not need to be removed. Any surgical intervention causes swelling and hematomas. Postoperative swelling, as a rule, increases from the 2nd to the 5th day after the operation. Its appearance is a physiological norm and should not cause you concern. A slight increase in body temperature to 37.5 is also possible, which does not require special treatment.
In the first 4-5 weeks after surgery, you should avoid sun exposure, as this can cause pigmentation. If this situation cannot be avoided, use special sunscreens with a high protection factor. Keep this in mind if you are planning a trip to hot countries.
As a rule, the operation lasts from 40 minutes to several hours (depending on the type and volume of intervention) and is performed under general anesthesia. The patient does not feel anything and wakes up in the ward. The first day after the operation, you will be under the round-the-clock supervision of experienced medical personnel. If necessary, hospitalization can be extended.
To speed up the postoperative period, we offer rehabilitation procedures. The procedures are carried out at the Galaktika clinic at 5/2 Pirogovskaya Nab. The rehabilitation doctor will select the optimal rehabilitation program for you. For any questions related to your operation, you can call the clinic at +7 (812) 403-02-01, or write me an email at staisupov@gmail.com and, if necessary, come to the clinic at any time and get a free consultation.
You will spend one day in the clinic. If you need a hotel for your stay in St. Petersburg, we can offer you to stay at the St. Petersburg Hotel. The hotel is located in the same building as the clinic, which is very convenient for out-of-town patients.
Be careful when planning the date of the operation. Currently, the demand for this type of medical care is very high and the waiting list for the operation can be up to two months. Consider this when choosing a date convenient for you.
Remember, a good mood and optimistic attitude are 50% of success!
