All plastic surgeries are performed using some type of anesthesia. Most often, general anesthesia is used. Before the operation, the patient undergoes an examination, the scope of which depends on the type of anesthesia.

Preoperative examination

Examinations before surgery under local anesthesia:
Clinical blood test (complete + platelets)
Clotting time and bleeding duration
Clinical urine test
Blood sugar (glucose)
Fluorography for the last 12 months
ECG (patients over 40 years old)

Consultation with a therapist
Examinations for:

Examinations before surgery under general anesthesia:

Ultrasound of the veins of the lower extremities
ECG with decoding and provision of an ECG tape
ECHO CG for patients over 50 years old (before facial and neck rejuvenation surgery, abdominoplasty, liposuction and large-volume lipofilling)
Consultation with a therapist with a conclusion on the absence of contraindications to the operation

For women additionally:
Ultrasound of the mammary glands + Conclusion of a mammologist (before surgery on the mammary glands)
Ultrasound of the pelvis + Conclusion of a gynecologist for patients over 40 years old

Contraindications:

As with almost any medical intervention, there are contraindications to plastic surgery. You should refuse plastic surgery if:
There are contraindications to any surgery at all.
Serious somatic diseases of the heart, kidneys, liver and other organs.
Pre-surgery tests indicate that it is inappropriate to perform it.
You are on your period. When performing surgery, you need to calculate your cycle so that it does not fall during your period.
You are pregnant. Pregnancy and plastic surgery are incompatible under no circumstances.
You are lactating.
